Forget the original 80’s and welcome a sophisticated adaptation that could only have been dreamed of in the heyday of big shoulders. With a strong foundation built on tailoring Arthur Galan AG presents an inspiring take on 80’s glam for Autumn/Winter 2010.

Black and grey are always held in high favour but this winter sees them splashed with a bold selection of colours. Jolts of Schiaparelli pink and cobalt blue brighten Arthur Galan AG’s winter palette and introduce a colour wave not seen for years.

Along with the return of rich colours, animal prints have taken a central role and added a fresh dimension. Leather, fur and feathers are also on offer to accentuate key pieces. A suit is easily transformed from a day to night outfit by merely adding the essential sequin piece.

Created from luxe Italian silks dresses ruche and drape the silhouette. They skim the body and showcase precise draping which accentuates the feminine curves.

Disregarded for so long no shoulder is neglected. They are sculpted sharply in jackets and dresses or simply non-existent in one shoulder dresses and tops.

Glam rock for the girls comes in fringed tops, shimmering dresses, stretch leather or sequin harem pants.

Without a doubt the must have piece of the season is the Schiaparelli pink military coat trimmed in black grosgrain. Classic in design the striking colour of this piece makes a strong winter statement.

With each passing season Arthur Galan AG men’s range continues to achieve a certain sleek and confident profile.

Suiting takes a sharper edge with slim fitting, two button jackets that sit on the hip creating a sharp silhoutte. Slim pants continue to dominate creating a leaner and longer look, pair with a vest or add a puffer jacket and channel this seasons key looks.

The double breasted jacket has returned to favour and Arthur Galan AG offers its version by way of a tweed cardigan. If tradition is more your style then the grey military coat will appeal.

Biker chic is as prevalent for men as it is for women with cropped leather jackets trimmed with this season’s hottest embellishment, the zip. Back in favour, and an Arthur Galan AG key from the beginning, zips have slowly been making their way to fashions centre stage and for men Arthur Galan AG has pea coats, cardigans and puffer jackets all zipped up.

Knits come in a luxe array of textures and lengths with tomato red as the hero colour. Chunky cardigans, fine knits, snoods and scarves all combine to create a lavish woollen landscape.
